In 2017, Russian Arbitration Association (RAA), RAA25 and the Faculty of Law at the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE) are organizing II RAA Online Arbitration Moot. BILA Association is an informational partner of the II RAA Online Arbitration Moot.

The Moot is held in Russian.

The Moot will be held in two stages:

1. Preliminary rounds take place from April 20 through 30, 2017. They are held via video-conferencing based on the RAA Online Arbitration System. This allows teams from all over Russia and CIS to participate remotely.

2. Oral hearings (quarter, semi-final and final rounds) take place from August 25 through 27, 2017 at the premises of the Faculty of Law at the HSE in Moscow.

The Moot is based on resolution of a mock case under the RAA Online Arbitration Rules of October 1, 2015 (in Russian). The mock case was published on January 13, 2017 on the Moot’s official website.

The participation is open for all students of Specialist, Bachelor and Magister programs. A team should consist of 2-4 students apart from a coach.

The participation is free of charge. Participants will only suffer travelling expenses during oral hearings.

Three best speakers will get an internship offer in the leading Russian law firms.

On the threshold of oral hearings on August 25, 2017 the RAA conference for participants, arbitrators and international arbitration experts will take place.
